Limit Income

First let me say that I personally will never fall into the category that could classify as 'rich' or in jeopardy of having my income 'capped'. I do, however, strongly believe in the capitalistic, free enterprise system and a smaller government with lower and fairer taxes.

During a swing through the midwest the president went off his teleprompter and carelessly created another Joe the Plumber 'flash-back', that unguarded moment in the 2008 campaign when he told a potential small-business owner that he thought it a good idea to spread the wealth around.

"Now, what we're doing, I want to be clear, we're not trying to push financial reform because we begrudge success that's fairly earned," Obama said, "I mean, I do think at a certain point you've made enough money."

Remarks prepared for the occasion reportedly don't include the president's thoughts about how much money he thinks Americans should be allowed to make. Again he has shown his Marxist stripes.

It takes a certain kind of person to think he has the moral authority to cap other people's incomes. Especially when he and his wife somehow made $5.5 million in the first year of his presidency, a job that pays $400,000 a year. This is the zenith of hiprocrisy.

To limit what someone can legally earn is morally corrupt and economically foolish. However, it is evident that such limits surely do not pertain to Obama because after all 'he is the President' who is above such legislation . . . . it doesn't apply to him or any other of his 'fat cat' minions like Madame Pelosi. After all, "we were duly elected".

The urge to exercise authority over others and pandering to the uncomprehending public are basic instincts of the political left and flagrantly drive their agenda. It all boils down to more government control and a bigger government and, unfortunately, less investment capacity. This does not bode well for free enterprise.

Surely the public has enough common sense to 'see the light'. Then, again, maybe not.
